Thematic Maps are made to show a particular theme connected with a specific geographic area. There are multiple types of thematic maps.

Proportional Symbol Map

A proportional symbol map uses symbols such as a circle to show intensity or frequency. The symbol can show with various sizes the frequency of the variable of whats being mapped.

Isoline Map

This map shows lines that connect points to show of equal value.

Choropleth Map:

A choropleth map shows the level of a variable within predefined regions. The Choropleth map categorizes a variable into a class and also shows each class differently using different colors patterns and shading.
