When you think of Italy one of things that pops into my mind is defiantly pizza! Pizza was invented in Naples Italy. There has since been many variations of it but it will always be a comfort food for many. In 997 A.D. the word "Gaeta" first appeared in Southern Italy, which translates over to pizza.

The Italian Flag

The Italian flag is a tricolor flag, consisting of three colors starting with green by the hoist side white in the middle and ending with red. Italy has had many different variations to their flag over the years. Italy changed over to the flag they have now after World War II. The flag used to have an emblem in the center.
